  3.  
  4. Thank you trying WinCharging.  It's the newest and best way 
  5. to manage your credit cards.
  6.  
  7. As you may know, WinCharging can do a lot more than simply 
  8. monitor credit card expenditures.  If you use credit cards 
  9. to earn car rebates or money back, WinCharging can help you
  10. earn even more.  When you've reached the maximum rebate on 
  11. one card, WinCharging warns you so you can switch to 
  12. another income-producing card.  That way your credit cards 
  13. are always working for you.

  15. Another reason to use WinCharging is that while your credit
  16. cards are safe, you can never be sure about your account 
  17. numbers.  With mail theft on the rise (especially of account 
  18. numbers), it is imperative to know exactly what you're 
  19. paying for.  WinCharging helps you keep track of each and 
  20. every one of your charges.

  22. WinCharging can tell you when you've reached your cards' 
  23. credit limits.  It can generate all sorts of analytical 
  24. reports about your spending habits and even print out tax
  25. summaries for you.

  27. WinCharging holds a Four-Star rating from Ziff-Davis, 
  28. the parent company of PC Magazine.  It was also named 
  29. runner-up in the 1995 Shareware Awards contest.  One 
  30. Ziff-Davis reviewer reported that "WinCharging is a 
  31. sophisticated credit card management system", and that 
  32. it's "a strong tool for detail-oriented people."

  38. This is the "try before you buy" Version of WinCharging.
  39.  
  40. It is a full-featured, fully functional program that you 
  41. can test on your computer for sixty days.  After that 
  42. period, you will not be able to create new records.  You 
  43. can, of course, continue to access your existing records 
  44. after the evaluation period.

  48.               INSTALLATION
  49.  
  50. WinCharging requires Windows 3.1 or 3.11, 4 MB RAM, and
  51. 2.2 MB of hard disk space.
  52.  
  53. To ensure a perfect installation, make sure all of the 
  54. files listed in CONTENTS.TXT appear on your shareware 
  55. distribution floppy disk.  If any are missing, contact 
  56. your shareware distributor immediately.

  58. If you downloaded WinCharging's ZIP file and expanded it 
  59. on your hard disk, make sure all of the files are present.
  60. You can then copy them to a floppy disk to create an 
  61. installation disk or simply install WinCharging from 
  62. that directory (which is considerably faster).

  64. To install, start Windows.  Open the File Menu and click 
  65. Run.  Put the installation disk in your a: drive and enter 
  66. A:SETUP on Run's command line.  If you put the disk in 
  67. your b: drive, enter B:SETUP.  If you're installing from
  68. a directory on your hard drive, enter the full path plus 
  69. SETUP (for example: C:\TEMPDIR\SETUP).

  71. The installation procedure checks to ensure you have 
  72. Windows 3.1 or 3.11 and that your system meets certain 
  73. other requirements.  If all is in order, it displays the
  74. default directory for WinCharging's files.

  76. You can put WinCharging's files in any directory you wish,
  77. but as with any other major program, the files should be 
  78. placed in their own directory, and that directory should be
  79. right off the root directory for optimum efficiency 
  80. (e.g., C:\WINCHARG).

  84.             GETTING STARTED
  85.  
  86. WinCharging comes with a special online Help file called 
  87. MeFirst!.  It's easy to read and comes with loads of 
  88. graphics to simplify the setup process.  When you start 
  89. WinCharging the first time, it asks you if you would like
  90. to see MeFirst!.  Reply yes.

  92. With both WinCharging and MeFirst! open, you can simply
  93. <Alt>+<Tab> back and forth, first reading MeFirst! about 
  94. how to do something, then switching back to WinCharging
  95. to actually do it.

  97. When you no longer need MeFirst! you can delete it by 
  98. simply selecting a command found on the File Menu.

  104. WinCharging Deluxe (the registered version) is identical 
  105. to the shareware version but comes with the following 
  106. additional features:

  108. 1.  It allows multiple userfiles (databases).
  109. 2.  It lets you password protect each userfile.
  110. 3.  It comes with a powerful Archive feature.
  111. 4.  It comes with AutoLoad Override.

  177. would, when the record amount was greater than the account's
